- A person submitting an entry to the Promoter of this competition is referred to as an Entrant in these Conditions of Entry.
- Entries for this competition (“the Promotion”) will be accepted on and from 15 July 2009 to and until 12:00 pm AEST (midday) on 15 August 2009. An Entrant may only submit one entry.
- Entrants must be aged 6, 7, 8, 9 or 10 years old on 1 July 2009, and must be a permanent resident of New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania or the Australian Capital Territory.
- Entrants may submit their entries in either of the following ways:
- Go to www.nuenergy.com.au and follow the instructions on the website; or
- Register by sending their suggested name for one or other of the characters, together with the entrant’s name, the name and state or territory of the entrant’s school and the entrant’s school grade to schools@nuenergy.com.au.
- Identifying the winning entries will take place from 2:00 pm on 15 August 2009 at the offices of Nu Energy, 19 Capital Place, Carrum Downs Victoria 3201.
- There will be four winners of prizes from amongst Entrants, identified in the following manner:
- A judging panel will be appointed by the Promoter;
- The judging panel will be presented with up to 100 entries, selected on merit by the Promoter from amongst all of the entries received;
- The judging panel will consider the suggestions made in the selected entries;
- The judging panel will choose two of the suggestions, from two different Entrants, which in the opinion of the judging panel give the most creative and clever name to either one or other of the characters;
- The Entrants who submitted the two selected entries will each be awarded a Class A prize;
- The schools of the Entrants who submitted the two selected entries will each be awarded a Class B prize.
- The Class A prize is an iPod Nano Chromatic “Apple” valued at $149.
- The Class B prize is a “Wooldridges” education superstore book voucher valued at $250.
- The total prize value of this Promotion is $798.
- Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash or other goods.
- Prize winners will be immediately notified by email, and will be asked to contact Nu Energy to make arrangements for the collection of their prizes.
- The Promoter cannot accept any responsibility for late, lost, misdirected, incomplete or incorrect entries, or for any failure or error in the transmission of any email whether to or from the Entrant.
- Decisions of the judging panel and of the Promoter are final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Directors and employees of Nu Energy and their families are not eligible to enter this Promotion.
- If any prize is not claimed within 3 months of notification or attempted notification, the Entrant forfeits his, her or its prize, and the Promoter may in its discretion appoint a judging panel to identify the entry that gave the next most creative and clever name to one or other of the characters from amongst the remaining entries of the 100 originally selected.
- By submitting an entry, and in consideration of the offer to participate in this Promotion, Entrants:
- Agree to and accept these Conditions of Entry;
- Permit the Promoter to use and publish the Entrant’s name, school and suggestions on its websites, in promotional materials and for future direct marketing and publicity purposes;
- Assign all copyright and other intellectual property rights in their suggestions to the Promoter in all respects entirely, subject always to any applicable moral rights legislation;
- Transfer to the Promoter all physical property rights in their entries.
- The Promoter manages information collected from Entrants in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988.
- The Promoter is NUE Pty Ltd ABN 81 107 122 154 of 19 Capital Place, Carrum Downs, Victoria 3201 (“Nu Energy”).
