Netball SA partner with Nu Energy on and off court to reduce carbon footprint

Leading solar solutions provider Nu Energy have teamed up with one of Australia’s most loved and watched sporting teams, the Adelaide Thunderbirds, and will work together towards reducing carbon footprint in South Australia.

Netball SA hopes to work closely with the South Australian Government to pursue a joint Public-Private partnership and to support the State Government’s renewable energy policies. The Nu Energy partnership will commence this partnership.

“Nu Energy are looking forward to this partnership with a fantastic sporting team such as the Adelaide Thunderbirds. We are proud to be working with an organisation who are so committed to reducing their carbon footprint,” said Nu Energy CEO Simon Schauble.
Netball is on its way to becoming the first sport to reduce its carbon footprint and work towards addressing environmental sustainability. Nu Energy are looking forward to working with Netball SA and the Adelaide Thunderbirds towards making an impact and highlighting awareness to this hot topic.
“Australia has a fantastic sporting culture, and as an Australian company, Nu Energy is extremely excited to begin this partnership with the Adelaide Thunderbirds netball team,” said Schauble.
“This is an exciting proposition in the current renewable environment, and Netball SA are looking forward to partnering with Nu Energy to work on short and long term solutions to reduce our carbon footprint,” said Netball SA CEO Stephanie Greene.
“The sponsorship will see both Nu Energy and Netball SA work collaboratively with the SA Government for a private and public partnership facilitated by sport, potentially this could be a first for our industry,” said Greene.
