Nu Energy is also proud to announce its support of BrainLink Services. BrainLink is a community based care organisation that is dedicated to helping improve the quality of life of people affected by acquired brain disorders.

Mr Schauble says the BrainLink partnership is a great fit for Nu Energy: “Nu Energy is committed to safety in the workplace and at home. By teaming up with BrainLink, we hope to provide support to those in the community affected by brain disorders and brain injuries.”

BrainLink Services Limited is a state wide service that is dedicated to improving the quality of life of people affected by conditions of the brain and providing support to their families.

Service Group

BrainLink's primary service group are people with conditions of the brain occurring after birth, which includes those affected by stroke, head injuries and brain tumour; people with progressive neurological diseases, eg. Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, Muscular Dystrophy, Motor Neurone disease and Huntington's disease; their families and service providers.

Their Services

Brainlink assist children and adults affected by brain disorders to live as independently as possible in the community through the provision of information and support services:

• They offer information and educational programs for individuals and family carers affected by ABI;
• Reducing the incidence of brain injuries, particularly stroke through education and impact awareness programs;
• Developing comprehensive networks with government agencies, medical groups, funding bodies, policy makers, service providers, clients and carers, for advice and information exchange;
• Monitoring and researching current issues for improvements in ABI services and piloting projects to meet perceived service gaps. Respite opportunities that are unique and flexible, from one day support activities to overnight retreats in a range of formats; eg. For carers only, for people with ABI only, for both the person with ABI and their carer at the same time.
